I am traveling to DC for the first time wash … Where can I stay and eat cheap?
I've looked at many sites such as Travelocity and orbits, but it may appear so unclear! Does anyone else have traveled to Washington DC, what was your experience like, and no advice from a university first time visitor on a budget? Does anyone know of any hotel or flight cheap tricks? We found a hotel for around $ 100, is that a good deal? Advise please?
I always stay at Quality Inn Iwo Jima in Rosslyn. Go to http://www.hotelchoice.com book – DO NOT go through Travelocity or Priceline. You will receive better treatment and have a better room on arrival in if you go by the hotel. This hotel is just steps from the metro and is a safe area. It also has a grocery store and restaurants (the Mexican restaurant above from the Rosslyn Metro station on the second floor is v. good and reasonable). For dinner on the cheap, consider gift certificates to get through restaurant.com. First, go to http://www.rather-be-shopping.com to see if you are having some sales restaurant.com. Once the promotion code, Goto restaurant.com restaurants and look for DC. Or – if you have time, get a book of entertainment DC. Once there, all the Smithsonian museums are free and there are many things to do there on the cheap. I took a paper from the city once you get to see what is happening, and also has recommendations for what to do / see. Have a great time!
