Florida Norte Hotel (in Madrid) and Expo Hotel (in Barcelona). How good is that in terms of location?

I'm not a big fan of the Florida Norte Hotel in Madrid (4-Star site: http://www.hotelfloridanorte.com/) only by its location. The term "center" although we believe it is on the edge of downtown. It is near the river, near the Casa de Campo, and about Principe Pio metro or train station – which is good, near bus lines.
