Florida Norte Hotel (in Madrid) and Expo Hotel (in Barcelona). How good is that in terms of location?

I'll be in Madrid and Barcelona for a holiday

I'm not a big fan of the Florida Norte Hotel in Madrid (4-Star site: http://www.hotelfloridanorte.com/) only by its location. The term "center" although we believe it is on the edge of downtown. It is near the river, near the Casa de Campo, and about Principe Pio metro or train station – which is good, near bus lines. But to get to, for example, the historical and the Royal Palace which has to walk uphill through the long Cuesta de San Vicente. This is not a road you want to take every day – especially not in summer, when hot. Walking along any trouble. But if you want to be "in the heart of everything" other hotels should be considered first. It's much nicer to leave his hotel door and "being that "instead of walking 15 or 20 minutes to get there. There is a great" mall "next to the hotel and the famous" Casa Mingo "restaurant a few steps too, so there are things close, but the museums, from a hotel are a good 45 minute walk (the first 15 minutes of which is uphill). Expo Hotel Barcelona (4-star site: http://www.expogrupo.com/hotel/expo-barcelona / index.html) is similar to the Hotel Florida in Madrid. This hotel is located near Barcelona the Sants train station. It is a good walk, for example, the Gothic Quarter from here, but you can take the subway to get there. Such hotels often be selected by the tourism and travel agencies because they can get good offers from them – due to its position of not being in the heart of downtown old. Good luck and enjoy these two wonderful cities! Greetings, BarcelonaMan (@ YouKnowWhere!)
