
The Chianti Sculpture Park offers each of its visitors a unique experience. In an unbroken forest of oak and oaks in the heart of Chianti Siena, many artists internationally acclaimed on five continents have created contemporary sculptures are made in accordance with their own creative ideas and style.Piero Giadrossi the founder of this park, has toured more than 20 years and has always contained small and large contemporary sculptures. His vision was to share with visitors most demanding of Tuscany his love for sculpture and so he decided to create a permament exhibition along a dark path that runs through a beautiful oak forest. Each artist chose the site for installation, so each work becomes a unique presence on the corner of the wood where it is mounted. To select the artists Piero was aided by a committee art and reflection careful attention to the nationality and the media used. "All the sculptures therefore be considered to be truly a specific place, which explains its harmony with the trees, sounds, colors, light, and all other elements of the wood. How to reach the Chianti Sculpture Park:
The Milan-Rome motorway exit Firenze Certosa.
Siena motorway: exit Siena Nord.
Turn left on SS 222, towards Castellina and turn right after 1.5 km towards Vagliagli.
Drive for about 8 km and turn right onto PIEVASCIATA. This is a rural road and is the park right after about 4 km.
From Rome: Motorway unit of Siena to the exit Siena Nord. Then follow the instructions above.
