Sometimes, the sands of the Sahara are carried by winds as far into the Atlantic to the skies over Lanzarote are given an almost unreal, teint oxidized. Only on rare sometimes makes the caravan stop charter flights Lanzarote's head throughout the year, attracted not only by a sub-tropical climate and wide variety of beaches, but also for its rich tourism potential here too.
The crater of the Gulf is numbered among the attractions better known in Lanzarote. The Gulf is the name of a fishing village nearby, but people come here to look at a large crater of a volcano that has partially fallen into the sea and thus fills saltwater lagoon. The lagoon is a very bright green color and visitors should not swim in it because of the high content of algae from water. Anyone wandering the neighborhood the crater should keep your eyes peeled for olivine. This is a beautiful olive green stone, whose appearance here is the result of volcanic activity.
Hotels in Lanzarote serve all visitors. Many are found in Arrecife, the capital of the island. Originally a small fishing village of the town began to grow after the Spanish conquest in the sixteenth century. Four castles in the city date from this time with Castillo de San Gabriel, located in the downtown. The main shopping street is Leon y Castillo and this is a great place to buy souvenirs.
Lanzarote hotels are known for their proximity to excellent and beaches of Playa Blanca, the third largest city of the island, close to the best island. The Papagayo beaches are ideal for swimming and sunbathing.
