Ready your Road Trip Planner? Set your itinerary … you could choose a HUT HUT HUT, but I'd recommend a hotel. Walk up the stairs and claim your seat ticket and see some live FOOTBALL!

I am a 49er fan and do not need a road trip planner to drive the 37 miles to Candlestick Park in San Francisco to see my men in red and gold. Did not go to their Super Bowl games, either because I have always held a great feast in the house with televisions in each room (including the bathrooms). And when his 5-time winning streak ended and the 49ers fell into their artificial turf, I turned to Fantasy Football.

But now I'm thinking maybe it's time to enter the next level of football fandom. I use my trusty travel planner to plan my summer vacations, weekend getaways, anniversary trips, family reunions, getaways, even my girlfriend … Why not a football road trip?

TRAVEL: It is an explosion go on a road trip to encourage my team against one of their historic rivals. In my case, it would mean traveling to St. Louis, Missouri, at the battle of the Rams, would really be a great choice of travel by car because I could stay with the family and could not bunk with them. In addition, St. Louis is a great destination that offers many things to do. So check the schedules of your own team, a football road trip may be the perfect excuse to visit a city that has always wanted to explore anyway. Here's your chance to visit the homes of the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, or the Miami Dolphins.

FAVORITES equipment is in another state: I am within an hour drive from the home field of my team, but I have friends whose favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys or the Green Bay Packers (go figure). It's lonely shouting the name of your computer in a sea of attitude towards the fans. Or be the CHEESEHEAD only in his section. So plan a trip there and being surrounded by fans actually return a High-5 when his team's results.

FOOTBALL SPECIFIC: Actually, now that I think about it, not limited to just my team away from home. Could I use my notebook's drive to map my route to the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Or visit the hometown of the other only two 5-Time Champions of the Superbowl, Dallas or Pittsburgh (sorry, could not resist this little gesture to the 49er Glory Days).

Special Events: A group of friends or a soccer-oriented family like mine would have a great time planning a road trip to one of the following events:
* The Super Bowl XLIII will be in Tampa Bay, Florida, on February 1, 2009
* The 2009 Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 8, 2009

For the fans of COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Make planning your road trip around these events:
* 2009 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on January 1, 2009
* 2009's Orange Bowl at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida, on January 1, 2009
* 2009 Sugar Bowl is in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans on January 2, 2009
* 2009 Fiesta Bowl will be at University of Phoenix Stadium (a 450 million U.S. dollars state-of-the-art complex) in Glendale, Arizona on January 5, 2009
* 2009 BCS Championship Game will be held in Miami, Florida, January 8 2009

All this talk of football road trips is revving me up! In fact, I am making a commitment here and now. If the 49's that back to the Superbowl again, wherever you are, I'll use my road trip planner to get there. Ready, set, hut, hut, walk!
