What is the fare for a trip in six and fifty-five miles of the cabin in Indianapolis, Indiana?
Thinking about attending Gen Con Indy, in this year, and all the hotels near the Indianapolis Convention Center (attached to the RCA Dome) is reserved solids. Short of finding someone willing to take a roommate, I have to stay a little further. The hotels I'm looking at is between five and seven miles from the convention center. What would end up as taxi fare? (And there's a better alternative?)
Most taxis are about $ 3 to pick up and then around 45 cents for each mile 1 / 5. You can also take the bus if you stay IndyGo out to the suburbs or Indy, and on the outskirts of the 465 circle / loop. You can see the www.indygo.net bus routes. Then you can call a few hotels that seem to be on the bus route. Routes 8, 16 and 24 all go to the convention center. Route 8 is by the airport, so you might be able to stay there. And some hotels may have airport transportation will take you downtown. There is a Holiday Inn in Beech Grove which is on the bus route 16. good luck!
